My wife and I found this flower/sprinkler at Pottery Barn Kids today. When connected to a garden hose, it can exfoliate any exposed skin of your child in a matter of seconds, brilliant!

I'm fascinated by the contrast of the bright happy flower in the center of the shot, surrounded by the dark, shadowy, slightly blurred greenery. As though the big bad wolf might jump out of the forest at any moment.
Amusing,
The dappled light was provided by sunlight through a pine tree on west side of our yard; the sun was about an hour from setting. This was shot at 1/5000s at f/2.8 so to minimize the DOF and freeze the water with a 55mm lens; no PS work here.
I know what you mean by the big bad wolf, I was terrified of the dark areas beyond the hedge when I was very young, at times I still am.
