Happy Birthday, Joan Miró.
I was lucky to have grandparents that were great patrons of the arts.
On one side of the multifacited family that was mine, were grandparents who had an original Miró that closely resembles this piece, Nocturne, 1940.
I have always loved Miró's work.

It's wonderful. I want to make it with textiles and stitches and feel it.
They "had" a Miro? And, please tell me it's hanging on YOUR wall now? Fingers crossed, since it obviously has meaning for you beyond being a cool piece.
It still is in the family, but hanging on my brothers wall in Kansas City.
Well, crap. Post his address, I'll don my "To Catch a Thief" cat burglar gear and we'll see what happens..... Do you have a secret room where you can create a hidden shrine for it?
