My wife and I found this flower/sprinkler at Pottery Barn Kids today. When connected to a garden hose, it can exfoliate any exposed skin of your child in a matter of seconds, brilliant!

Happy Birthday, Joan Miró.
I was lucky to have grandparents that were great patrons of the arts.
On one side of the multifacited family that was mine, were grandparents who had an original Miró that closely resembles this piece, Nocturne, 1940.
I have always loved Miró's work.

When I heard the news this morning about the firings at the White House, it reminded me of the saying "Rearranging The Deck Chairs On The Titanic".
Though not a deck chair, a chair none the less and all I had at hand.

This is from Declan's first Easter Egg Hunt. Here he is doing his little "dance from the egg".
Though it was a warm 65 outside Sunday, the winds were gusting to 65, so we held this event inside this year. And of course it is snowing today; I love the mountains.
He really enjoyed the Carob covered peanuts along with the dried Turkish apricots and cranberries; we tend to go the hippie route when it comes to our food. Of course we supplement our diet with copious amounts of varying wines.
My current addiction is soy milk and vegan peanut butter cookies.

Today is Monday, but I have back loaded this to Saturday since it was shot that day; look at me folding space and time.
I exposed for the clouds and island so the bottom of this shot lost some detail, but this is how I saw the scene. This is about 47 miles directly west from my house, which in this shot is center under the snowy peaks on the horizon. We purchased a new car a month ago and I wanted to see how well it climbed; it did quite well taking me to 3500 ft. above the

This one is for you Amusing.
I thought of you as I was standing in front the beer case at Wild Oats, you wanting to have a pint with the English boys.
Cheers!

I had planted ten trees in my backyard today to screen out a neighbors white stucco "Miami Vice" like house.
It was such a sunny day, that I was blinded by the white walls of his house. All I could see once I went into my house was the bright colors of a chest I had picked up in China Town, S.F. and a painting I had made several years ago; I decided this would be my shot of the day.
At times I have missed living in the S.F. Bay Area, but on days like today, when I can look out onto the Wasatch range from our house, 800 feet above The Salt Lake Valley, and I have the room to plant ten trees, I don't miss Marin at all.

I am very lucky that I am able to spend my days with my son Declan, learning and teaching.
Why does my son resemble Senator John McCain, a week into a bender?

This is an older shot from a few months ago; thank you Iva.
I had planned to upload PJ images from today's local immigrant rally, but it was raining (sprinkles really) and very few people attended to show solidarity; very sad that the weather could play a role in such an important issue.

My son had a bit of a rash on his right cheek today.
Just now, I went to his room to see that he had a blanket covering him for the night.
I love when he wakes whilst I'm checking on him before turning in for the night; it gives me an excuse to keep him awake for a bit, so I may read to him and get a little hug from him.

This will be included in a series that will be sold at our local farmers markets.
I am still working out how to light these series; I want to give these a painterly like quality.
